Shadows of Hope Ministry
Posted on: Tue 28 Apr, 2009.

The Shadows of Hope Ministry was founded by Prophet Priestword Dan Quaye in 2006 at Odorkor, Accra. The church started as a fellowship with the name Vessel of Honour with only 10 members, including the head pastor. As time went on and by the grace and mercies of God, the population of the fellowship increased so they had to relocate.

They first sought for a place in a school but unfortunately there was no vacancy .Mr. Jonathan Quaye, the father of the prophet, gave them a land on which they built the church. In 2008, the church started full operation; it was then registered at the Registrar General Department.

Explaining the choice of the name, “Shadows of Hope Ministry”, the head pastor, Prophet Priestword noted that the Lord revealed to him that name from the book of Psalms chapter 91. “God told me anyone who comes under His shadow is covered by His divine protection, “he said. God made him to know that under His shadow, the secret and the power of the Almighty shall be known.

The church has since it’s inception held joint church services with other churches such as Victorious Redemption church and Holy Ghost Chapel. In terms of the impact that the church has made on the community and the nation at large, it can boldly say that there has been transformations in the lives of drunkards and armed robbers, and has also changed the status of the poor.

Shadows of Hope Ministry has various departments such as the Prayer Tower, Pastoral ministry, music department and the Children’s department. Also, the church undertakes serious outreach programmes. The church has trained pastors from many places and now has a total population of 200.

The vision of Shadows of Hope Ministry is to enrich the universe with the gospel. Its mission statement is to build schools, hospitals, caring for the homeless and the poor. It also seeks to reach the unreached places in and outside the continent to raise future leaders for the Lord. The motto of the church is “ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”

Advising the nation, the founder and the head pastor of Shadows of Hope Ministry, Prophet Priestword, stressed that if  leaders of the nation stand firm to confirm the truth, God will bless our homeland Ghana.
